Prepare an image for upload
Check supported formats, size limits, reference counts, and when an image leaves your browser.
Supported images
- Use PNG, JPG/JPEG, or WebP.
- Each file must be 10 MB or smaller.
- An image can be at most 8,192 px wide or high and at most 16,777,216 total pixels.
- For a source image, resizing the longest edge to 4,096 px keeps it within the dimension limits.
- AI Image Generator references can be no more than 512 px wide or high.
Choose the right number
AI Image Generator accepts up to four optional reference images. Image-to-Image Generator uses one required source image.
When upload happens
The browser shows a local preview first. When signed out, image input is sent for the current execution and the result is stored only in this browser. Signed-in work uses private account storage.
If an image is rejected
- Confirm the file format and size.
- For a source image, resize the longest edge to 4,096 px or less.
- For Generator references, resize the longest edge to 512 px or less.
- Select the corrected file and submit again.
